Cedric was born on May 11, 1917 at Hemel Hempstead, Herts, England and died in Canada on September, 1998. He attended Bedford School and was an Engineering pupil at Vickers Armstong.
He enlisted in the RAF VR at Prestwick, Scotland and he served from Jan 1937 to July 1938 and then he became regular RAF.

Stations Served on During Training: RFTS, Prestwick - 25.1.37 - 25.3.37; ERFTS, Hatfield - 10.4.37 - 10.5.37;
LRFTS, Hansworth - 11.5.37 - 4.10.37; EGRFTS, Gravesend - 5.10.37 - 30.6.38; RAF Depot Uxbridge 9.7.38 - 23.7.38.
He was awarded his Pilot Wing at #10 FTS, Ternhill on March 3, 1939.
He was posted to 206 Squadron, Bircham Newton(Coastal Command) then to S of GR Thorney Island - 9.5.39 -28.8.39.
Then back to 206 Squadron - 29.8.39 - 3.8.40 then on to 252 Squadron(Chivenor) - No1 PRU, Benson and Wick.
206 Squadron RAF - Coastal Command (Anson & Hudson)
252 Squadron RAF - Beaufighter squadron being formed.
#1 PRU, Benson - Spitfire.

He was demobbed at Scarborough, Yorkshire in November 1945.
He emigrated to Rhodesia (Pillar of the Empire). Became part of “white settler problem” and in 1961 emigrated to Canada. Worked as a Real Esatate Broker and Manager . Also part owner and manager of Terra Cotta Inn (1968 - fall of 1971.)
He was widowed in 1976, 3 daughters - 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
His hobby was flying gliders and tow planes and also instructing.
